You can search up to 3 names at the same time for one fee of $10.00 (plus applicable taxes). If you are registering a corporation, a NUANS^® (full Search) is required.

Please note that federal and provincial governments have different requirements for name selection. If your proposed name is similar to any existing name or a trademark, it may be rejected. As the result, you will be required to search and pay for another name or register a numbered corporation.

Preliminary search has limitations. The search provides "exact match" results only. This search does not check for similar names. This is why an official NUANS report is required in order to register a corporation. The purpose of the preliminary search is to check the name before you spend any money on name reservation (NUANS search) Unique names would always have a better chance of fast approval.
